Qoodz — F&B Loyalty App
Eat, scan, save — repeat. Loyalty that builds dining habits across the GCC.
Overview
Qoodz is a loyalty platform for the food & beverage sector: users discover partner restaurants and cafes, collect points, badges, and streaks, and redeem exclusive offers in-store with a QR scan. The design work covered the full consumer app — onboarding, discovery, brand pages, wallet, and gamified rewards like spin-the-wheel and scratch coupons — plus the merchant-side dashboard where partners manage offers, branches, campaigns, and performance.
The Challenge
F&B establishments were running isolated loyalty schemes with manual, cumbersome redemption, and traditional programs weren't engaging customers enough to change dining habits. The app had to aggregate many partners into one coherent experience — free to use, culturally right for Saudi and GCC users, and effortless at the moment of redemption.
Our Approach
- 01
Architect the experience
Consolidated fragmented loyalty programs into one information architecture: location-based deal discovery with a map view, favorite brands, personalized recommendations, a rewards wallet, and dedicated partner brand profiles.
- 02
Design for the culture
Arabic-first, fully localized UI with tone and visuals tuned for Saudi and GCC users — and a gamified loop of points, streaks, badges, and levels that makes saving money habit-forming rather than transactional.
- 03
Serve both sides
Designed the merchant dashboard alongside the consumer app: partners control their offers (custom expiry, targeting, pause/reactivate), track scans and top customers, and build their brand presence inside the app.
- 04
Test and iterate
Ran usability testing across five core tasks — onboarding, browsing offers, QR redemption, wallet tracking, and brand pages — then shipped fixes: post-scan confirmation feedback, a visual badge tracker, revised Arabic copy with a native reviewer, and clearer map pin coding.
