Qoodz Digital Menu
See the dish, see the offer, redeem — a menu that turns appetite into action.
Overview
As part of Qoodz's mission to improve food discovery and support its F&B partners, this project added a fully visual digital menu to partner brand pages — more than a list of items, a conversion experience that connects users emotionally to the restaurant. Users preview dishes, prices, and active offers before visiting, bridging the gap between exploration and redemption, with ordering flows through checkout, tipping, payment, and post-payment feedback.
The Challenge
Users decided whether to redeem an offer without ever seeing what the food looked like or what it cost — and restaurants had no way to showcase their menu inside the app. The menu had to sell the dish visually while staying fast and scannable on mobile, in Arabic first.
Our Approach
- 01
Design the menu
Categorized visual sections with high-quality dish photography, inline badges marking items with active discounts or loyalty rewards, RTL Arabic-first layout, smooth scrolling with sticky tabbed navigation, and CTAs like 'Get This Offer' directly on menu cards.
- 02
Bridge discovery to conversion
Put the item, the price, and the offer in one view so users act immediately — with the offer's mechanics made explicit per item instead of buried in fine print.
- 03
Test with users and partners
Ran usability sessions with six end-users and two restaurant partners across iOS and Android in the Emirates — then iterated: richer item modals with allergen info, stronger visual hierarchy for Arabic readers, per-item offer tags, and a stickier, animated tab bar.
- 04
Measure what changed
Tracked behavior after launch and after each iteration — menu views, saved dishes, time on page, and redemptions — to confirm the feature was converting, not just impressing.

“Now customers come already knowing what to order. Menu management from the dashboard is easier than we expected — we've seen people redeem dishes we promoted just last week.”
